I’ve made this 3 times already since the start of the year, it’s been a life saver for me. In a perfect world breakfast is ready in no more than 10 minutes, and hopefully I only have to use one brain cell to get it done. This checks both of those boxes. And it makes enough for at least 5 servings, sometimes more depending on the size of your servings. If you aren’t the type to eat the same thing everyday for a week straight then I suggest putting half the shakshuka base in a freezer safe food container and saving it for a rainy lazy day.
I keep a minimum of 2 jars of Jovial Crushed Tomatoes in my pantry at all times, I LOVE this brand so much. (I also buy my all purpose flour from them!) Their products are 100% Organic, grown on small family farms in Italy, and they come in glass jars which is so important to me. If I can, I always try to avoid eating foods out of toxic BPA lined cans especially something like tomatoes that are so acidic and have the ability to pull those toxins out easier. But the number one reason I shop exclusively with this brand is because they are certified Glyphosate Free. Italy has very strong regulations on the use of pesticides, so I will always opt to a buy a product grown there over anywhere else! Quality is the most important thing to consider when it comes making better daily food choices, often times the nutritional value of a food product can vary greatly depending on the brand you choose.
